Sonam Raghuvanshi appeared in Shillong court : Sonam Raghuvanshi, a prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, has appeared in a Shillong court multiple times in connection with the case. According to recent reports, she was presented before a Shillong court on July 4, 2025, alongside her alleged partner, Raj Kushwaha. The court was expected to extend their judicial custody, following the earlier extension of custody for three other accused—Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand Kurmi—for 14 days. Previously, on June 21, 2025, Sonam and Raj Kushwaha were remanded to 13 days of judicial custody by a Shillong district and sessions court after their police custody ended. Earlier court appearances include June 11, 2025, when Sonam and four co-accused were granted eight days of police custody after being brought to Shillong for investigation into the murder that occurred during their honeymoon in Meghalaya’s Sohra area on May 23, 2025.

According to reports, the interview involved unverified and defamatory remarks, with Shrishti supporting the anchor’s claims.
The Investigating Officer issued a notice under 35(3) BNSS to Shrishti, the news anchor, and the channel, requiring them to appear at the Crime Branch police station on June 23 and 24, 2025, but they did not comply. There is no direct information linking Shrishti Raghuwanshi to specific statements or actions regarding the Shillong Police. For context, the Shillong Police have been actively involved in the investigation of Raja Raghuwanshi’s murder, which occurred during his honeymoon in Sohra, Meghalaya.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has made several arrests, including Sonam Raghuwanshi (Raja’s wife) and others accused of destroying evidence. The police have also conducted searches in Indore and Ratlam, recovering items like jewelry and electronic devices.
