Having some fun at Gorman. This is a 360 video. Watch this video with a VR headset using YoutubeVR. It will play on normal youtube, but you will not see it in surround unless you use the VR version of youtube.
Testing the helmet cam out. This was an Insta360 One R with the 360 lens mod on there. In general this works well. Its virtually impossible to start and stop this camera. You cant hear the beeps or see anything when its on your helmet. The quality is about typical for a 360 camera these days. You can see massive video compression overload. The scene is so busy it just cannot keep up with the complex terrain. 5.7k would be fairly good if the cpu inside the little camera had the bandwidth to crank out all those pixels, but this is the state of the consumer field. I am buying the remote after this trip. I want a wrist remote that I can see.
