Originally aired on October 17, 1996 (HIPPA was enacted on August 21, 1996) this episode gives a humorous look at the issue of a patient having access to their medical record. After getting a look at her medical chart, Elaine learns that her doctor thinks she's "difficult." Pressed for details, Dr. Stern does not allow Elaine to see her chart and quickly dismisses her without treating her irritating rash. Upon trying to see someone else, she's surprised to find her reputation, and medical record, has preceded her. Kramer then unsuccessfully tries to obtain a copy of her chart for her.
