If you don't have masking fluid you could also do this tutorial with a wax based crayon, or even cut/tear masking tape and place it strategically down. A friendly reminder that most masking fluid is liquid latex, so if you have a latex allergy you'll want to make sure you look specifically for the latex free option, I have tested pebeo and it works pretty well.
