Blot på Bronseplassen 2021

Solsnu-ritualer i Norden, fra bronsealderen til vikingtiden, sentrerte seg rundt labyrinten, en symbolsk fremstilling av den okkulte dimensjonen Vanarheim. I midten lå gudinnen Frøyas bolig. Slike labyrinter, med rester av 400 funnet i Norge og Sverige, gikk ut av bruk etter kristendommens innføring rundt år 1000.

Et blot involverte et offerdyr, hvor blodet symboliserte forbindelsen mellom mennesker og guder. Dyrets betydning reflekterte ritualets styrke. I dag brukes blod fra et lokalt slakteri, da privat slakt er ulovlig. Blodet overleveres fra stammens Gode til Volven, som leder ritualet og har kontakt med det okkulte.

Tenk deg en natt for 3000 år siden, hvor stammen samles med fakler rundt labyrinten. Jordgudinnen mottar offerblodet og begir seg, ledsaget av valkyrier, fra Vanarheim til Åsgard via Bifrost, regnbuebroen voktet av Heimdal. Fremme deler Frøya blodet med de mektigste gudene, Tor og Odin. Ritualets visdom er basert på århundrer med tradisjon.

Filmen er en hyllest til volven Eldir, som i 17 år har ledet blot på Bronseplassen. Dette blir siste gang hun og Gorm organiserer det der. Filmen gir også tips for å arrangere egne blot.

Bronseplassen i Høvåg, Norge, er en opplevelsespark som arrangerer kultiske fester til ære for alver og underjordiske. Hedenskapen er fortsatt kraftfull og inviterer til deltakelse og utforskning.

Solstice rituals in the Nordic region, from the Bronze Age to the Viking Age, centered around the labyrinth—a symbolic representation of the occult dimension of Vanarheim. At its center was the dwelling of the goddess Freyja. Such labyrinths, with remnants of 400 found in Norway and Sweden, fell out of use following the introduction of Christianity around the year 1000.

A blot involved a sacrificial animal, with its blood symbolizing the connection between humans and the gods. The significance of the animal reflected the ritual’s power. Today, blood from a local slaughterhouse is used, as private slaughter is prohibited. The blood is handed over from the tribe’s Godhi to the *Volva*, who leads the ritual and connects with the occult.

Imagine a night 3,000 years ago, as the tribe gathers with torches around the labyrinth. The Earth goddess receives the sacrificial blood and, accompanied by valkyries, journeys from Vanarheim to Asgard via Bifrost, the rainbow bridge guarded by Heimdall. Upon arrival, Freyja shares the blood with the mightiest gods, Thor and Odin. The ritual’s wisdom is rooted in centuries of tradition.

The film is a tribute to the Volva Eldir, who has led blots at Bronseplassen for 17 years. This will be the last blot organized by her and Gorm there. The film also offers tips for organizing your own *blot*.

Bronseplassen in Høvåg, Norway, is an experience park hosting cultic festivals honoring elves and subterranean beings. Paganism remains powerful, inviting participation and exploration.
