Only 3% of mutual fund units are held for more than five years, meaning 97% of investors exit before giving their investments enough time to compound.

I share my personal experience of holding mutual funds since 2016 and explain why a minimum investment horizon of 5-7 years is crucial for wealth creation, especially in small and mid-cap funds.
