~ "Mighty" ~
I was inspired to arrange this chorus after hearing a prophetic word that was spoken and sung by Nate Johnston (November 19, 2020). He spoke these words and then broke into spontaneous song with a melody that I couldn't help but go to my piano and arrange with chords. The lyrics speak to the urgent need to use our praise and adoration to fight the battles we face in these turbulent times. The simple, yet powerful melody is a chorus that builds with intensity. The song is meant to have lead vocals but has been recorded with lead piano until it is developed further in production. Our God is the God of Angel Armies. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds. Prayer is powerful and it is our battle cry for our beloved nation.

The bible tells us that musicians were often positioned ahead of the army and appointed to sing and play instruments to the Lord in preparation for battle. The Lord is with the musicians at the front - He has already won the battle. It is our job to sing and use our voices, instruments, and individual artistic gifts to praise the King. These songs of praise are truly OUR weapons of warfare. Praise Him for the VICTORY that is coming.

As you hear the "boom" in the track, I can't help but envision the God of Angel Armies bursting through the atmosphere, ready to fight. Let's join HIM.
