Pals is the sort of place that makes you question things. How is a big one. How did they make things so beautiful all those years ago? How come it is still standing 1200 years later? Those sorts of questions.
Join me as I explore this beautiful little gem on the Costa Brava, not a seaside town but a small fortified one perched on top of a small hill.
You can feel the history here. It is tangible. You can almost taste it.
In this series I set out to discover another side of Spain. Far from the cheesy dj's, packed beaches and package holiday culture there is a deeper, more personal and honest identity but i had to go "off the beaten track" to really get to know "The Spain I never knew"
