Eva Hoos, Policy Officer in the Energy Efficiency Unit of DG ENERGY of the European Commission is giving her keynote presentation “High-performance, smart district heating and cooling –The evaluative backbone of a balanced energy transition” at the 3rd International Conference on Smart Energy Systems and 4th Generation District Heating in Copenhagen, 12-13 September 2017. The presentation provides an overview of what the EU has already done to promote modern district heating. The presentation also explains the current legislative proposals and the objectives driving the policy developments in the field.
