His FOURTH Z06! New car ceramic coating!

In this video, we walk through the steps we use to properly wash decontaminate, polish, and ceramic coat, this 2026 Corvette Z06.

Most light colored vehicles, silver, gray and whites, are very easy to polish because most of the damage is very difficult to see in natural light. This vehicle, in particular, was almost new but the black paint had a few holograms, swirls, and waterspots.

We started by deep cleaning the wheels with an all purpose cleaner, shampoo, and degreaser.

After we deep cleaned the wheels, we gave the vehicle a hand wash, then we followed it up with an iron decontamination, and then we gave it a clay bar treatment. Lastly, we brought the vehicle into the bay.

We inspected the vehicles paint once more under the lights. We gave it a very light polish, but realized that the water spotting was not coming off. So we used an orange griots pad with Rupes Ultra Fine Polish.

Once the polish was complete, we sprayed the vehicle down with an IPA to ensure all oils and polish residues are removed. This ensures you will give your ceramic coating the best possible bond to the clear coat.

Now that the paint was ready and prepped, we began the installation of Carbon Collective's molecule 5 year ceramic coating.

Barrel Cleaning is crucial

We recommend a wheel bucket, water, and some car shampoo for extra lubrication. Leave your wheel tools in the buckets and spray the wheel cleaner directly on a COOL WHEEL. Do not spray on a hot surface, you may damage your wheels. Work one wheel at a time, and rinse each brush after usage.

To maximize scratch resistance we recommend you allow the foam to dwell for a few minutes. Rinse it off, then foam the vehicle with the shampoo.
