Hi. In this video we look at an important safety system in an aircraft: GPWS. We look at what is a CFIT and how this system has prevented several CFIT accidents. We look at how GPWS functions using different aircraft information. We also look at the different modes of basic GPWS. We see how the Enhanced GPWS or Terrain Awareness Warning System, TAWS, adds to the benefits of the basic GPWS.
