In May 2025, We officially launched the FISH4ACP Catfish Cluster Upgrading Programme in Asaba – a new chapter in transforming Nigeria’s catfish aquaculture sector.

This initiative supports lead farmers and clusters with practical training, expert guidance, and sustainable innovations to improve productivity, livelihoods, and market access. Our goal is to build a more inclusive, resilient, and profitable value chain.

FISH4ACP is an initiative of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with funding from the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The programme focuses on making fisheries and aquaculture value chains more sustainable across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific.
