Video comparativo de la locomotora ALCo RSD16 8232 de NCA (Nuevo Central Argentino), antes y después de su reparación general y remotorización.
En primer lugar, una toma del día 3 de enero de 2023, previo a su reparación general, y aún con su motor original ALCo 251-C.
2 años y 4 meses después, la 8232 luce impecable tras los trabajos realizados, y con un sonar totalmente distinto al anterior, pues fue remotorizada con un motor General Motors 12-645 y el agregado de un generador AR10. En lo estético, no hay muchas diferencias, sólo se le agrega un cuarto filtro de aire en su lateral derecho, y un respiradero en su lado izquierdo, cercano a la puerta de acceso a la cabina. Por último, la potencia del motor ALCo 251-C es de 1800 hp, y en cambio, el del motor GM 12-645 es de 1600 hp.

Two years and four months later, 8232 looks impeccable after the work, and with a completely different sound than before, as it was re-engined with a General Motors 12-645 engine and the addition of an AR10 generator. Aesthetically, there are not many differences; only a fourth air filter has been added on its right side, and a vent on its left side, near the cab access door. Finally, the ALCo 251-C engine has a power output of 1,800 hp, while the GM 12-645 engine has a power output of 1,600 hp.
