In this episode of the Wallace Arts Channel Video Series, we chat to Euan Macleod at the Pah Homestead. Christchurch-born, but resident in Sydney since the early 1980s, Euan Macleod has produced a singular, remarkable and gripping body of work. Spanning three decades of a prolific career, the canvases in the exhibition, Painter, held at the Pah earlier this year, took us on a journey not only through physical landscapes but also through states of mind and being.
“A lot of people call me a landscape painter but, I think the landscape snuck in and that really, the bit that interested me was the figure, the human form.”
