Updated 2024 Kia Seltos Review // The best seller gets an update!

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2024 Kia Seltos subcompact crossover/SUV. What’s New? There are updates to the exterior, interior and infotainment system with available larger screens. It has a redesigned front grille, new wheel designs and a new rear light bar. The 2024 Kia Seltos 1.6T has more power, an extra 20 horsepower compared to the previous model and a new 8-speed automatic transmission which replaces the 7-speed dual clutch transmission which some felt to be a bit jerky. There is also a new X-Line trim if you prefer a more rugged design with a gun metal front grille, 18” black wheels and X-Line badging.
The 2024 Kia Seltos interior is more refined than the previous model with less hard plastic, but there is some piano black at the centre console and on the doors. Cloth seats are standard, available leatherette and cloth or full leatherette. The updated infotainment system comes with an available 10.25” touchscreen with navigation, wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto and a 10.25” digital driver display. The smaller 8” touchscreen has wireless. For those who like buttons, there are plenty of them including a volume knob.
The 2024 Kia Seltos has some excellent available features for the non-luxury subcompact category including, a heated steering wheel, power driver’s seat with memory, a power passenger seat, sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a power tailgate. There is no panoramic sunroof offering on this model.
In the US, the 2024 Kia Seltos does not have a heated steering wheel, a power passenger seat, driver seat memory or heated rear seats.
