Day 2 | Ross Island - Andaman's Abandoned British Ghost Town | Andaman & Nicobar Islands

This video is about an island called Ross island in Andaman islands which is India's Spookiest Island. Ross island used to be the capital of Andaman under the rule of British. Every major offices, market, residentials were located in Ross island. Ross island has now become major tourist spot in Andaman islands. The island is under the control of Indian Navy and only designated areas for tourists are open, major part of the island is covered with forest. One can easily spot deers, peacocks and rabbits here. At present, there are many spots to cover in Ross island and almost all spots are turned into ruins. These ruins are taken over by nature with time and you will see many big roots of trees covering the ruins.
Ross island was also ruled by Japanese during the World War II. Japanese used this island to keep ammunitions and equipment's that were needed for the war.
Ross island was named after marine surveyor Daniel Ross. This island was renamed to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island on 30th Dec, 2018.

How to reach :-
Ferry/Boat
Usually to reach Ross island one can contact any tour agents for getting seat in boats. These boats are operated by private sector. These boats will operate for two islands North Bay and Ross Island.
However, you will be only given 1 hour for Ross island.

Rs. 750 (Ross island and North Bay Island)
