In 1998 The Clay People’s self-titled album was released on Slipdisc records. The furiously propulsive lead single “Awake” climbed the radio charts. The band toured with Disturbed, Stained, Clutch, Rob Zombie, Static X, Stabbing Westward and Filter.
“Awake” was featured in films such as Strangeland, Universal Soldier 2, and Marked For Death.

Then as their record label collapsed, groups they'd influenced became arena-headlining chartoppers.

Dinsmore has ensured that won’t be relying on suits behind a desk to oversee the release of Cult Hynotica. Overit is an award-winning creative and tech agency founded by Dinsmore in 1993 that has grown out of the basement into an industry leading design firm.

Neet admits that for the first time the influential band that he started first as a dark pop band, morphed into an electronic industrial act and finally was forged into a force of nature that he carried on his back for years is now being shepherded by his bandmates in McGarvey and Dinsmore.

The band called in extended members of its musical family to contribute to their previous effort Demon Hero. Chris Wyse of The Hollywood Vampires, Ace Feehley, The Cult and OWL, contributed bass to the band’s reinterpretation of fan favorite “Strange Day” and “Gen RX.” Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward and one-time Clay People member contributed keys. Wade Alin who added programming to the band’s self titled release returns on Demon Hero.

The release of Cult Hynotica will be accompanied by a full release of the band’s back catalog, a series of music videos and, perhaps most importantly, a return to the stage.
