Recently Birmingham New Street Station opened its doors to the public following the completion of its five year, £750m, redevelopment project – the first major construction project on the station since it was redeveloped in the 1960s.
Over the past five years, NG Bailey has played a key role in the project, with circa 150 employees per day working on mechanical and electrical services on the platforms, concourse and Grand Central.
This included a large amount of support from our Offsite Manufacture division including the ‘spine’, the impulse fan installation and the ground-breaking green initiative in a combined heating power (CHP) district heating solution.
