AliExpress Lego Mercedes G500 REVIEW!!! (READ DESC👇)

Hello builders, today I have the review of a Chinese copy of the Lego set 42177.

The price of it was $70 with taxes (60% tax here in Brazil) the cost without taxes was a mere $40, less than the new lego Ferrari fxx k Evo.

here's a quick review👇

Parts quality: 9/10. I only got one broken part, the pins and axle have some friction but nothing too annoying.

Sticker quality 9.5/10. the colors don't mesh well, but the stickers hold gluing and ungluing several times without ripping or loosing the glue.

Instructions quality: 11/10. yeah your read it right, 11/10, amazing instructions with big and clear steps, there's only one book, although I used lego instructions the quality of the book is amazing.

functionality: 6/10. although everything is amazing, the pistons have lots of friction, I recommend using hot water and force the clips outwards, if you that mod the functionality becomes a 10/10.

Pros:

Better shade of orange than original version (in my opinion)

Ultimate price/benefit ratio

Stiffer suspension that the original version, which make it better to make an RC mod, since the suspension will hold up (the cause is two medium absorbers in front instead of one soft and one medium)

Printed parts, they look better than the original ones

Cons:

Deformed tires, I recommend using again, hot water to fix the deformation

pins (especially the blue 3L ones) and axles have friction, so I say in advance that your fingers will hurt :(

The tires are the one in the defender, and not the new off-road one, that doesn't bother me a lot but can bother others, also the brand new number 7 connector was replaced for one with more angle (number 3 I think) so modification are needed to make the doors look... normal (the pimp up my 42177 video with a fix for this problem will be posted if we reach 100 views in this video)


Final conclusion:

Should you Buy, put on shortlist, think about it or avoid?

well if you don't care for Chinese copies and have some money you should certainly buy it, the build was super enjoyable and I used some music, the playlist link will be in the comments below 👇, it's amazing how you can get so much for such little.


Also before asking for AliExpress link, I got this in the promotion, the normal price without promotion is almost $120! Without taxes! so I'm not Linking anything here, you can find some for $60 without taxes.
