You can use WD40 on just about anything metal, Knitting Machines being one of them. I will spray the hook latches in a pinch but also spray a little on the back part of the carriage where it rides on the needle bed, and what a difference, wish you can feel what I feel but you can if you try it on one of your metal bed knitting machines.
