This week on Paint & Paper Hustle, I finally wrap up the custom floor install after last episode’s TIG welding disaster left me with burnt holes and frustration. Switching over to MIG welding turned everything around—I found a method that worked, got the seat bolt mounts secure, and finished the floors the way I envisioned.

But that’s not all. I also tackled one of the biggest safety upgrades in this build: factory Volvo seat belts. Instead of an uncomfortable aftermarket harnesses, I’m integrating OEM safety with locking mechanisms and retractors for a clean, factory-like install. From welding studs and reinforcing plates to mocking up the B-pillar mounts, I walk you through every step of how I figured out the rear and front belts for this chopped and sectioned Plymouth.

By the end of this episode, the seats are ready to bolt in, the seat belts are secured and I’m back in high spirits compared to last week’s low point. This build is one step closer to being safe, functional, and road-ready.
