Trump's instability causes uncertainty, but U.S. actions confirm NATO's commitment to Poland

Speaking with TVP World, Marcin Bużański, Director at the Center for Diplomacy and Negotiation, argued that Donald Trump's initial response to Russia's Wednesday violation of Polish airspace was ambiguous, suggesting that the incursion could have been a mistake, which alarmed some European allies. Despite Trump's vague statements, however, NATO's operational response, led by the United States, was swift, coordinated, and flawless, including enhanced policing and defense efforts on the eastern flank. Polish leaders and other NATO officials made clear that the incursion was intentional and part of Russia's ongoing escalation tactics. Some isolationist and conspiracy groups in the U.S. have questioned the incident, but most of Congress continues to strongly support Ukraine and NATO. Experts also warn that Russia is waging a disinformation campaign alongside its military efforts, aimed at sowing discord and weakening Western unity.
