I can’t even talk about this without getting emotional. I feel like I found a new way to love myself. I’m self taught on the drums, ukulele and piano, and I even Learned audacity and fruit loops back in the day trying to get these melodies out of my head, but I honestly could never get it arranged or put together in a way that resonated with my heart. I’ve taken vocal lessons back in the day too. It’s just not my talent. So this is a really really big deal for me and I’m so so grateful for right now. I was left by my mother in a foreign country when I was little. Music became everything to me. Everything. I would hum myself to sleep. I would play Lupe Fiasco over and over and over. So to be able to upload a voice note of me singing a melody and hear it come to life, and then arrange all the instruments I can’t play… To have a soaring violin paired with halftime 808s and crescendo into Amapiano is just lifting my spirits so high
