Step-by-Step Abstract Hydrangeas with Acrylics – My First Attempt!

In this video, I dive into the world of abstract art with my first attempt at painting Hydrangeas! I start by creating a subtle background before blocking out the flowers using bold blue brushstrokes with acrylic paint. As the blooms take shape, they start to look too neat, so I decide to rough them up a bit and add some texture to give them an abstract twist.

I then bring in some background blooms for added depth and finish the piece with a glazing medium to bring out even more color and layers. The final result is something I'm really proud of! It’s my first time experimenting with this kind of abstract flower painting, and I can’t wait to share the journey with you.
