RARE Scoot /Tigerair A319 flight review from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

With the strong backing of Singapore Airlines, Scoot has seen a tremendous growth in recent years. More recently it merged with Tigerair. Tigerair had only 2 A319s in its fleet and I had the chance to fly on one of them for my first ever flight with Scoot. The aircraft has a mixed livery (and kept its distinctive tiger stripes on the engines and tail).

Scoot operates short haul flights as well as medium to long haul (its most recent long haul destination is Berlin).

Overall I had a good experience with this low cost airline. Scoot is ranked as one of top 10 low-cost airlines in the World by Skytrax.
Ho Chi Minh City is only 2 hours away from Singapore so was an excellent option for a day trip.

The first part of the video is dedicated to Changi airport. I am always impressed by the great experience offered by this airport - the facilities, cleanliness, and overall relaxed experience

Only downside: I found the booking process rather slow with unwanted add on, including for visa which were not required. The online check-in was fine for my outbound flight but there was no explanation why I couldn't check in online for the inbound. Watch the small prints (I don't fall into that category) but worth noting:
