Brief Biography of Zhang Zhehan (张哲瀚) Chinese Actor

Zhang Zhe Han is a Chinese actor and singer working with Ranyi Music. He graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy and made his acting debut in the 2010 romance series, Why Love You. His first major role was in the 2015 Chinese historical series, Legend of Ban Shu. He starred in notable Chinese dramas Legend of Yunxi, The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, and Everyone Wants to Meet You. His role as “Zhou Zi Shu” in famous Wuxia drama Word of Honor gained him significant amount of international recognition.

In 2020, he received the Weibo Award for Rising Artist of the Year. In 2021, he received the Weibo Movie Night Awards for the Category Most Watched/Followed Actor of the Year.

On August 13, 2021, Zhang was dropped by all his 27 business endorsements as well as a film and a variety show after a series of rumors were used to frame him. His Chinese social media accounts were also banned along with the streaming websites removing his name from the cast list of shows or entirely removing the series he starred. Zhang Zhe Han later stated that he never entered or visited the Yasukuni shrine and filed a police report over defamation on December 24, 2021.

In December 2022, Zhang returned from a year of domestic boycott with two singles "Melancholy Sunshine" and "Knight Errant", both reaching #1 on the worldwide iTunes music chart. Since then, a total of 7 songs released under his new album “Deep Blue” and 4 songs under “Datura” EP, which all were placed top 10 on the worldwide iTunes music chart. Zhang Zhe Han held his “Primordial Theater” concerts in Bangkok, Thailand on May 10 and 11, 2023, celebrating his 32nd birthday with fans.
