To commemorate Remembrance Day, we present a reading of the poem "In Memoriam" by the Scottish war poet Ewart Alan Mackintosh.
The poem was written to commemorate Private David Sutherland who was killed on a trench raid led by Mackintosh on the 16th May 1916.
Mackintosh himself was killed in action on the second day of the second Battle of Cambrai, 21 November 1917.
