In this video I walk through building a complete Star Schema data warehouse model in Snowflake, using a Medallion Architecture starting from a raw JSON file as the source.
You’ll see step-by-step how I:
Ingest a JSON source file into Snowflake
Land the data in the Bronze layer
Clean and structure it into a Silver layer
Design and implement a Gold Star Schema (Fact + Dimension tables)
Use Type 1 SCD merging in SQL to keep dimensions up to date
