A report by the institute of public finance now shows that nearly half of the Kenyan population is living below the poverty line, with over 23 million kenyans not being able to spend over 387 shillings a day an equivalent of 3 USD. Accroding to the macro fiscal analytic snapshot (MFAS) by the institute of public finance (IPF), while the economy has remained relatively stable, the benefits of growth are not reaching most Kenyans.
