Dior invents something new every season.

Since the first show on February 12th 1947, which launched the New Look, the House has never stopped affirming its vision through elegant, structured and extremely feminine lines.

When Christian Dior opened his fashion house in October 1946, he was 41 years old and had already capitalized on a wealth of experience.

After a sheltered childhood in Granville, Normandy, he opened his own art gallery in Paris and later learned the craft of fashion design from Lucien Lelong.

These experiences would shape his culture and refine his tastes.

In the context of post-war misery and rationing, Dior had a single obsession: to help women rediscover joy, elegance and beauty. In just ten years, from 1947 to 1957, Christian Dior revolutionized the codes of elegance and femininity, imagining his collections as marvelous dreams.

The man who wanted to become an architect offered women his vision of beauty through elegant lines, until he became the symbol of French luxury throughout the world.
