Camille DeSantis ’83 serves as Managing Director and U.S. Lead of Health Brand Development at Edelman, based in New York. She rejoined Edelman after founding two successful ventures: Guard Dog Brand Development, an internationally award-winning corporate identity development firm, and SIGNAVA, a strategic and market research consultancy.

As a seasoned veteran in the health industry, Camille is a pioneer in archetypal brand strategy, leveraging her proprietary methodologies to build highly successful health brands across global and domestic markets. Her expertise spans corporate brand identity strategy and positioning, narrative development, customer and patient experience planning, integrated communications, and reputation management. Over her career, she has contributed to the success of numerous health-related businesses, including start-ups, global enterprises, health systems, and not-for-profit organizations.

Her accomplishments have earned her recognition as one of PharmaVoice’s 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry and the recipient of awards such as the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary Award, the Rising Star Award, and the Spirit of Edelman award. Her work has also garnered numerous accolades, including Hermes, Marcom, Davey, and Rx Club awards for branding excellence.

A licensed medical technologist accredited by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, Camille is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD), the American Medical Writers’ Association, and Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation. She is a Certified Net Promoter® Associate, a SHSMD-certified strategic planner for hospitals and health systems, and one of the founding members of the Customer Experience Professionals’ Association.
