"Putin will die soon", says Zelensky

Russian President Vladimir Putin "will die soon," his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a television interview on Wednesday (March 26), where he urged allies to not lift sanctions on Russia.

Zelenskiy was speaking in Paris following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, where he said he hoped the U.S. has enough power to press Russia into an unconditional ceasefire.

Earlier, Moscow had put forward conditions for a halt on strikes in the Black Sea, brokered by Washington.
