In the early 1980's Hong Kong was the world's leading toy manufacturer. Ka Lok Industrial, a small Hong Kong Kowloon company, worked in conjunction with Litardi of Italy to produce an incredible 8" figure line known as I Mercenari.

For years many US collectors thought that these figures were simply catalog prototypes, but they were actually produced! Obviously highly influenced by Marvel's Crystar line, the effort became something strange and different.
