Riding Down Col de la Madeleine | Motorcycle Adventure Through the French Alps
In this episode of my 9000 km motorcycle journey from Amsterdam to Portugal and back, I take on a legendary alpine descent—Col de la Madeleine in the French Alps. Starting on top of the pass between the snow tops, I wind my way down through the quiet mountain village of Celliers and into the La Léchère region, taking in steep turns, wide vistas, and crisp alpine air.
This ride was part of a few-day stay in the La Léchère area, where I spent time exploring the surrounding mountain roads and scenery. Coming from the flat landscapes of the Netherlands, it always takes a moment to adjust to the rhythm and elevation of real mountain riding. But that challenge is exactly what makes these rides so rewarding.
Riding solo on my Yamaha Tracer 7, I let the curves guide the day. The ride down is a mix of quiet reflection, light adrenaline, and awe at the landscape. Whether you're here for motorcycle travel inspiration or a glimpse into alpine life, this stretch of road delivers the goods.
Enjoy the ride, Jaamaan123

The wind noise on the video was quite bad so I mixed it up with some music
