Self Enquiry Is the Ultimate Science

In this discussion, exploring why self-enquiry is the ultimate science, a questioner wants to know why the scientific community seems so reluctant to adopt the non-dual understanding. It seems obvious to him that scientists exploring the nature of reality would reach the conclusion that we all share our being.

Rupert says science, as it is practised now, will never discover the nature of reality because reality will always appear in accordance with the limitations of the medium through which it is perceived. Unless we know the nature of that which knows, we can never know the nature of that which is known.

Is it possible to know anything that is not mediated through the finite mind? Yes — that is the awareness of being. Therefore the only way to know the nature of reality is to explore the awareness of being.

It won't be long before more scientists come to this conclusion. Sooner or later they will realise that self-inquiry is the ultimate science.
