When I met the Lord for the first time
외롭고도 쓸쓸한 모습
He has no stately form or grand majesty
말없이 홀로 걸어가신 길을
Yet He did not open His mouth
영광을 다 버린 나그네
Like a stranger who had left all His glory
정녕 그 분이 내 형제 구원했나
Was this Man the One who has saved my brother?
나의 영혼도 구원하려나
Will He be able to save my soul too?
의심 많은 도마처럼 물었네
I had asked myself like doubting Thomas did
내가 처음 주를 만난 날
When I met the Lord for the first time

내가 다시 주를 만났을 때
When I met the Lord again after all those years
죄악으로 몹쓸 병든 몸
Lying in bed with illness and dreadful sin
조용히 내 손 잡아 이끄시며
He came to me holding my hand and gently said
병든 자여 일어나거라
“Arise, My child, and be set free!”
눈물 흘리며 참회하였었네
Tears flowing down and I repented deep in my heart
나의 믿음이 뜨거웠었네
I even felt the burning desire for Him
그러나 죄악이 나를 삼키고
But once again I walked into temptation of sin
내 영혼 갈 길을 잃었네
Once again I became a lost soul

내가 이제 주를 만남으로
Now at last I have met the Lord again
죽음의 길 벗어버리네
Turned away from the way to death
변찮는 은혜와 사랑베푸신
With His unchanging love and mercy
그분만이 나의 구세주
He became my one and only Savior
주 예수 따라 항상 살리로다
I will ever live my life for the Lord Jesus
십자가 지고 따라 가리라
And pick up my cross and follow after Him
할렐루야 주를 만난 이 기쁨
Hallelujah! What a joy I have knowing my Lord
영광의 찬송을 돌리리
I will praise Him forever more.
