1️⃣ Rinse the wound thoroughly with clean water to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
2️⃣ Place a sterile gauze pad over the cleaned abrasion to protect it.
3️⃣ Fixate the gauze pad with a bandage to keep it in place and prevent further contamination.
