Why I Don't Shoot Expensive Film for STREET Photography - is the best "Street" film not FILM at all?

I go on a small rant about the expense of shooting film on the street, and probably sound like I'm completely contradicting what I said in my earlier video about shooting film and scanning with digital. But hear me out! I think my views are (pretty) consistent.
I argue that it's best to learn technique on digital, discipline (to not overshoot) on cheap b&w film, and then maybe - just maybe - move onto colour film....but even then just the cheaper stuff. As for many people the prices of expensive films make them hard to swallow for shooting large numbers of pictures (as is often the case with street photography).
I give a guestimated breakdown of how much I think I would have spent last year if I'd just shot the street on film...rather than mainly using digital (except where I was working on a project that had it's essense in analogue).
So, please watch and leave your comments below. I'm braced for the backlash!!!
EDIT: In the video I mention the Panasonic GH100, what I meant was the Panasonic G100...can't think where I got the H from, but hopefully that clears up any potential confusion! 🙂
