This is the first video I made with 1080p quality so yeah you can imagine the size of each episodes and how much lag I'm experiencing with my laptop power. But I persevere because of my love for this drama! I also decided to try on a new format. Hope you like it. I used the black bars not just for cinematic effect but also to cover up the Chinese subtitles which I is permanently there so yeah, it sucks!
If you haven't watched this drama yet, it's amazing! Great chemistry, interesting plot, beautiful costumes, amazing acting (especially since this is the first leading role for our two leads which makes it even more impressive) all of the formula for a successful historical drama are right here.
I know that C-dramas are generally long, even borderline boring with lots of filler moments and I also tend to skip most of them directly to the interesting parts. But this is the first C-dramas that I don't skip a single episodes. Granted, I haven't watched that many C-dramas because it is so time-consuming. I enjoy even all the political parts because it doesn't take away the romance feels of the drama. They got the politics:romance ratio balanced out nicely where one does not overshadow the other. If it's too lovey-dovey, it will be cringey to watch but if it's too serious then, it's just too depressing to watch (not that this drama is depression-free) but the amount is just right to make you feel emotions that the leads are experiencing.
