Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. She rose to fame in the late 1990s with her debut album Mýa (1998) and hit singles like “It’s All About Me” and “Case of the Ex.” She gained global recognition with “Lady Marmalade” (2001) alongside Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, and Pink.

Known for her smooth vocals and dance ability, Mýa released successful albums under major labels before going independent, launching her own label Planet 9. Her later projects, including Smoove Jones (2016, Grammy-nominated) and T.K.O. (2018), highlighted her artistry and longevity.

Beyond music, she has acted in films (Chicago, Shall We Dance?), competed on Dancing with the Stars, and advocates for veganism, wellness, and women’s empowerment.

Legacy: Mýa is respected as one of R&B’s key voices from the late ’90s/2000s, still active as an independent artist and performer worldwide.
