Flow in porous media with mixed wettability

This video shows simulation results illustrating the dynamics of immiscible two-phase flow in porous media under different wettability conditions. The simulation was performed using a multiphase multiple-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann scheme. The moving fluid is the displacing phase. The changing color indicates the distance from the inlet. In these simulations, the contact angle of the defending fluid is chosen to be 25° (strong-wet), 95° (intermediate-wet), and 165°(weak-wet).
