New 2025 Mazda Roadster 35th Anniversary (MX-5/Miata)

Mazda Corporation (hereinafter "Mazda") has announced the addition of a special edition "35th Anniversary Model" for its compact open sports cars, the "Mazda Roadster" (soft-top model) and "Mazda Roadster RF" (retractable hardtop model). Reservations for the new model are now open at Mazda dealerships nationwide, with the official release planned for early February 2025.

The Mazda Roadster, since its debut in 1989, has sold over an extraordinary 1.2 million units across four generations. As a two-seater compact open sports car, it has consistently evolved to exceed customers' expectations for driving pleasure while fostering a car culture of enjoyment.

To commemorate the Roadster's 35th anniversary, Mazda has introduced this special edition as an expression of gratitude to all Roadster enthusiasts. The theme of the "35th Anniversary Model" centers on the concept of "maturity" and the vintage aesthetic that has long been associated with Roadster special editions. It features an Artisan Red body color and a high-quality Sport Tan interior, resulting in a refined Roadster tailored for mature drivers.

The production of the special edition "35th Anniversary Model" will be made to order, with orders accepted until March 3, 2025. Production for the domestic market is limited to 1,000 units, including both the "Mazda Roadster" (soft-top) and "Mazda Roadster RF" (retractable hardtop) models.

Special Edition Commemorating the 35th Anniversary: This edition celebrates the 35 years since the first-generation Roadster debuted in 1989, with gratitude toward its customers.

Exclusive Body Color: The special paint color "Artisan Red Premium Metallic," the fourth release in Mazda's proprietary "TAKUMINURI" painting technology⁴ series, makes its debut on the Roadster as the exclusive shade for the 35th Anniversary Model⁵. This color creates a high-contrast effect, where highlights glow with a fine, transparent red, while the shaded areas deliver rich depth and intensity, enhancing the sculpted beauty of the car.

The special edition is based on the "Roadster S Leather Package V Selection (6MT)" and "Roadster RF VS (6MT or 6EC-AT)" with the following unique features:
Exterior: Exclusive ornaments with serial numbers, high-gloss 17x7J aluminum wheels (Roadster RF only).
Interior: Embossed headrests, dark red accents on air vent trims, Sport Tan carpets, exclusive Sport Tan floor mats, and Sport Tan stitching on the steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake lever.
Optional Accessories: A selective key shell that complements the Artisan Red Premium Metallic exterior color.
