The barmaid and the physics PhD students

Pull up a stool and listen in as I share a tale from my undergraduate days.

A pair of would-be patrons, armed with their PhD studies in physics, thought they could impress their way past the ID check at the bar of a busy nightclub. They boasted about their work in super symmetry, not expecting the barmaid to be a fellow physicist.
