A resource intended for teachers to show to a class and promote conversion about pupil observations.
Liquid nitrogen is poured into a basin of water, causing water vapour to condense in the cold air above it. This vapour is cold and dense, and can even be cupped in the hand. Finally, a piece of ice is removed from the basin, revealing that part of the water was instantly frozen by the cryogenic liquid.
