Alcaudete is located in the south-west corner of Jaén province, in the Sierra Sur region. Its geographical location means that it is half an hour from Jaén, less than one hour from Granada and Cordoba and barely two hours from Málaga and Seville.
In Alcaudete you'll find history in every corner. The village forms a ring round the hillside, embracing its two most distinctive buildings: the Church of Santa María la Mayor and the Calatravo Castle, with views over its rich olive groves. It has three villages: La Bobadilla, Los Noguerones and El Sabariego, where the white of the houses is highlighted by the green of the olive groves.
The town centre is of medieval origin and has an important architectural heritage since the town had a great expansion between the 16th and 18th centuries with the construction of many civil and religious buildings of different styles, which decorate and adorn the streets of the old town.
Here , you can visit the nature reserves of La Laguna Honda and La Laguna de Chinche, an endorheic complex of great ecological interest because of the birds that live there, malvasias, flamingos, mallards,etc.

Martos is a city in the province of Jaén. It has a population of 24000 inhabitants, making Martos the fifth largest municipality in the province. The village is considered to be the greatest producer of olive oil in Spain and in the world. Martos is an important city situated beneath the Cerro de la Peña, topped with the ruins of the castle of the same name. This compact city spreads out over the slopes of the hill, under the Castle of La Villa and the Church of Santa María. From its privileged location we have beautiful views over a vast sea of olive trees.
Within the village, we can find some interesting monuments, such as the Church of Santa Marí­a de la Villa, the Church of las Trinitarias, the Pilar (the basin) of the Fuente Nueva Fountain, the Hospital of San Juan de Dios, the Royal Parish Church of Santa Marta, the Chapel of Nuestro Padre Jesús and the Old Jail and Town Hall.
