A recent video downplaying 1MW EV charging included a claim that Toyota hybrids were "greener" than BYD EVs anyway. But are they? Not surprisingly, there was 3 mistake in the confirmation bias t fossil fuel answer in that original video, but somewhat surprising the fossil fuel advocate being the "fun police" and pushing for the far, far, slower and less exciting vehicle in order to try to have close to EV level emissions.
The conclusion was misleading at best, but the difference between the two is not a great as many may think... provided you can accept choosing an 8 second 0-100 hybrid to get close the low emissions of a 3.6 0-100 EV. Turns out the fossil fuel choice is the anti fun approach.
