Paekakariki is the one of northernmost towns in the Wellington district and is also where the Steam Incorporated depot can be found. Steam Incorporated runs heritage excursions across the lower half of the North Island, and now the northern part of the South Island including cruise ship excursions for the Pounamu Tourism Group.
In this video I captured four KiwiRail freight trains, two of which are bound for Auckland, while the other two were bound for Palmerston North.
