Soul Jazz - ROOT AREA plays "Soul" music in the best sense! Whether it's a slow blues piece, New Orleans funk, a gospel ballad or a Swiss folk song in African garb - ROOT AREA's music has deep roots and connects the band to them. The short-circuiting of the now with these roots creates a phenomenal energy in their music, breaks boundaries and gives the band and the audience unique and exhilarating moments.
The infectious energy, the groove and the fat arrangements of two saxophones and Hammond are the trademark of ROOT AREA. Their three albums are celebrated worldwide. New album coming in autumn 2024.
