New images of 3I/ATLAS just came in, and the structure is still holding together far better than anyone expected.
Even as the brightness fades, the central glow stays tight and the directional outflow is still visible in today’s captures from Thailand and Italy. These aren’t big observatories — they’re small scopes and short exposures — yet the geometry keeps showing up. That alone makes this object worth watching as it moves toward its closest approach on December 19.
At the same time, researchers have announced something huge:
53 giant quasar jets have been identified — some stretching wider than the entire Milky Way. These are powered by supermassive black holes and launch energy across intergalactic distances. They’re rare, extreme, and they tell us a lot about how active galaxies behave.
And if you're going outside this month, December is packed with sky events worth catching.
A bright conjunction, the Geminids, and the last good window to spot 3I/ATLAS before it slips away for good.
Three very different stories — but all pointing to the same thing:
Our sky is busier and more interesting than most people realize.

Is 3I/ATLAS just fading normally…
or is the persistent structure telling us something else?
