Went with my 82 year-old army war veteran friend Joe Albemarle County social services. No Case Manager supervisor works in House at all since 2020. None of them answer the phone when you call their phones and they do not get back to you the same day. Today I asked for his case manager’s supervisor and left her a voicemail because she didn’t answer either. Then I got the call from his Case Manager saying I’ve done all I can do. The case manager never calls unless I continue to call which I’m not gonna do right now because it’s completely pointless on a big run around situation. APS and his Case Manager had his eviction letter in July and they ignored him and didn’t help him with the emergency fund probably because they wouldn’t agree to it no matter how much he brought to them because that fund is something that they hope you don’t ever ask about. Because the likelihood is you won’t get it. Unless your section 8 housing or something like that then apparently there’s a lot of services for them.
